Bookseller Barnes & Noble has releasd the new NOOK GlowLight 3, the company's first device with enhanced front light technology and the first real new Nook released since 2015.

Users are able to read with a cool white light during the day, then manually or automatically switch to an "Auto Night Mode," which provides a warmer orange tone for bedtime reading.

The lightweight new eReader is available now for pre-order at BN.com/NOOK and will be on sale at Barnes & Noble stores starting Wednesday, November 8, for $119.99

The device has a new soft touch finishes for easy holding for long periods of time, while page turning buttons featured on both sides of the device accommodate left- and right-handed users. Readers are able to jump from chapter to chapter with a few clicks or a fast flip. Customizing the screen display to fit any reading style is made easy by adjusting the font size.

Customers who purchase NOOK GlowLight 3 will have twice as much storage space when choosing from the company's library of eBooks, including more than a million titles under $4.99. NOOK GlowLight 3 is also compatible with Adobe Digital Editions.

The rest of the GlowLight 3's specs are more or less what you'd expect from an e-reader - there's a 6" 300ppi display, a 50 day battery life, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n) connectivity and chunky bezels that seem to dominate the face of the device.
