AMD Launches the Radeon RX 590 GME in China

AMD Launches the Radeon RX 590 GME in China

GPUs Mar 12,2020 0

AMD is making available in China the Radeon RX 590 GME, a graphics card based on the company's Polaris architecture and essentially slower than the RX 590.

Available exclusively in China, the RX 590 GME ships with the RX 580’s 1257MHz base clock, but offers a 40MHz higher boost clock, topping out at 1380MHz. The card’s specifications are otherwise identical to the 590/580, including a full 36 CU configuration and 8GB of GDDR5 VRAM on a 256-bit bus that’s clocked at 8Gbps.

According to the card's sepcs, the RX 590 GME should perform like a slightly oveclocked RX 580.

With this offering, AMD is probably could fill specific market needs or even sell off excess stock. For AMD, the RX 590 GME certainly has a lower bill of materials cost compared to the RX 5500 XT offering.

Chinese etailers have already Radeon RX 590 GME for sale for between ¥1,189 and ¥1,399 (USD $170 to $200).
