Microsoft Updates Band

Microsoft Updates Band

Smartphones Dec 11,2015 0

Microsoft's latest wearable, the Band 2, just got a few fresh features designed to make it smarter and more functional. The updates include new music controls, activity reminders, and an improved and enhanced Exercise Tile.

The full-color touchscreen displays the song title and lets you pause and play, skip forward and back, and turn the volume up and down. You’ll find the tunes through Spotify, but also any music app you use on your phone connects to your new Microsoft Band through Bluetooth.

The new Microsoft Band can now remind you to get up and move when you’ve been still for too long. You choose the time intervals and the days you want to be reminded. You can also set a period of time when you don’t want to receive reminders, like when you’re sleeping or driving.

Now, it’s easier to track your duration, calorie burn, and heart rate for your exercises when you use the Exercise Tile. Select options, like yoga or weightlifting, or name your own. When you review your exercise sessions in the Microsoft Health app or Web Dashboard, your summaries and observations will be grouped by exercise type.

In addition, you can easily find out about new features for your new Microsoft Band with the 'What’s New' Tile. The tile will automatically appear on your band when new updates are available.

The new Microsoft Band is available for of $249.99 at Microsoft retail stores, MicrosoftStore.com and other third-party retailers.
