Google is rumored to be developing modular monitors that interlock to create custom-sized displays. The Wall Street Journal's sources claim that the devices, being developed by Google's X division, would plug together "like Legos" to create a "seamless image".

Google's modular system, which evokes similarities with its Project Ara modular smartphone concept, could mean an even greater choice of screen size but with fewer different devices.
