- In Japan around 288.000 units.
- In U.S.A around 658.000 units.
- In Europe around 577.000 units.

The world market share until September from January (of 2000) was 3.4% and the Plextor rank was 10th. The Plextor drives seems to be very popular in Europe and USA but not in Japan..." NULL
