Last.fm Suffers A Password Breach

Last.fm Suffers A Password Breach

Enterprise & IT Jun 7,2012 0

Music website Last.fm is investigating the leak of some of its members' passwords, the company has said. Last.fm's leak follows recent password leaks on other sites incuding business social web site LinkedIn. As a precautionary measure, Last.fm advised all users to change their passwords.

Last.fm apologised, saying it took user privacy "very seriously". "We will never email you a direct link to update your settings or ask for your password, it added.

On Wednesday, business social network LinkedIn admitted that over six million of its users' passwords had been obtained and details posted online.
