Pioneer Japan officialy announced today the shipments of its new DVR-S12J, a 18x DVD Multi-burner with SATA interface. The drive will retail in Japan early June and it will be available in white and black bezel variations.



the internal SATA drive writes on DVD±R media at 18X, DVD±R DL at 10X, DVD+RW at 8X, DVD-RW at 6X DVD-RAM at 12X , CD-R at 40X, and CD-RW at 32X.

Labelflash disc labeling technology is also enabled in DVR-S12J of drives. In addition Pioneer's "PowerRead" function is provided to strengthen the drive's capabilities to read scratched discs.
