Samsung and Mobeewave Partner to Deploy mPOS Payments Worldwide

Samsung and Mobeewave Partner to Deploy mPOS Payments Worldwide

Enterprise & IT Oct 15,2019 0

Samsung Electronics, in partnership with Mobeewave, will deploy NFC-enabled contactless payment acceptance on mobile devices worldwide starting October 15, 2019.

The two companies have worked together on a pilot in Canada, testing Samsung POS, a secure, mobile-based, Point Of Sale (POS) solution. Samsung POS enables merchants to accept debit and credit payments by tapping contactless cards, Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Paywallets onto Samsung NFC-enabled devices - without dongles, cables or other additional hardware.

Merchants who want to accept mobile payments can download the Samsung POS app from the Galaxy Store or Google Play Store and go through a sign-up process within the app to register as a merchant.

Samsung also provides simple payment solutions for consumers through the Samsung Pay digital wallet, enabling them to pay with their device in Samsung Pay launched countries.

Samsung and Mobeewave will be deploying their solution first in Canada from October 15, 2019, and plan to expand globally starting in 2020.
