Plextor Europe announces new SCSI CD-RW (PX-W4012S) drive
Plextor Europe, one of the world's leading manufacturers of CD-ROM drives, CD-ReWritable drives and CD media, is proud to present its latest product: the PlexWriter 40/12/40S (PX-W4012TS). The PlexWriter 40/12/40S writes at 40x, rewrites at 12x and reads at 40x, and has an Ultra SCSI interface.
The PlexWriter 40/12/40S offers a range of functions:
• BURN-Proof, PoweRec and VariRec technology
• 4 MB Buffer
• Access Time 120 ms
• Available in both white and black
• High quality digital audio extraction
• Easy firmware upgrade using FlashROM
• Comprehensive support of CD-R and CD-R/W media
• Use of a black tray limits the possibility of C1 errors. The black tray absorbs a part of the OPU (Optical Power Unit) laser light to improve writing quality
• The optimised print plate (PCB) limits internal murmur, with less jitter and an overall quality improvement as a result
• Mount Rainier Ready
The PlexWriter 40/12/40S will be available in January 2003, in retail and in bulk version.
The retail version includes: PlexWriter 40/12/40S, 1 CD-R disc, 1 CD-R/W disc, 1 audio cable, Plextor's own utility software (PlexTools), Nero CD burning software + InCD and a manual in 16 languages. Recommended retail price (Excl. VAT): 255 Euro.
The bulk version includes: PlexWriter 40/12/40S, 1 audio cable, Plextor's own utility software (PlexTools) and a manual in 16 languages. Recommended retail price (Excl. VAT): 239 Euro.
