Samsung on Monday sent invitations to the press for a press conference on September 4th in Berlin, Germany. The "Unpacked" event is scheduled to take place just ahead of the annual IFA trade show.

Samsung is expected to showcase the new Galaxy Note III phablet - a smartphone with a 5.7-inch display, a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor or an eight-core Exynos 5 Octo chipset (not for all regions), 3GB of RAM and Android Jelly Bean.

Samsung may also unveil its Galaxy Gear smartwatch at the event, along with several new tablet models.
