Fitbit Launches New Alta Fitness Tracker

Fitbit Launches New Alta Fitness Tracker

Smartphones Feb 3,2016 0

Fitbit's latest fitness tracker is the Alta, an electronic bracelet that can serve as a reminder to help you stay focused on your fitness goals. Fitbit Alta has a slim design and interchangeable bands. It is packed with technology ike SmartTrack and smart notifications in order to track activity, including steps, distance, calories burned, and active minutes. And it shows the time and your stats on an OLED tap display. You can even customize the clock face and choose between a portrait or landscape layout. Plus, it’s water resistant and the battery can last up to 5 days.

Fitbit is offering a lineup of interchangeable metal, leather, and classic bands (sold separately).

It keeps you connected at a glance with call, text, and calendar notifications.

When you wear Fitbit Alta to bed, your tracker will automatically capture your sleep data, and then wirelessly sync to the Fitbit dashboard, where you can see your sleep trends over time. You can also set a silent, vibrating alarm to help you wake up in the morning.

Fitbit Alta uses SmartTrack to automatically detect when you start exercising, and then logs those workouts to your Fitbit dashboard. That means you’ll be able to get credit toward your weekly exercise goal for workouts like running, elliptical, or biking without ever pressing a button.

To keep you on track, Fitbit Alta can send you small reminders to move throughout the day. The on-screen messages will encourage you to reach mini-goals of 250 steps per hour.

Fitbit Alta works with the Fitbit app and dashboard, where you can set goals, log food, record workouts, see progress, and more. You can also use it to sync your data with fitness apps, including FitStar, connect with friends, and compete in challenges.

Fitbit Alta is currently available for $129.95.
