Datawrite Adopt TransPrint On Full Face Silver Printable DVD-R

Optical Storage Feb 3,2005 0

Datawrite have adopted the new TransPrint technology on their new range of Full Face Silver (Hub) Printable 8X DVD-R. TransPrint is a new process which involves spraying the disc with a thin film of clear lacquer. The results are estimated to be better than standard printable surfaces, which use the conventional method of applying an inkjet friendly surface. The cost of the process has been the main factor in most brands not adopting this technology.

"As Europe's leading brand of Optical media, we set the standards , for us to be using expensive cutting edge technology on our mainstay products is accepted as the norm . Being a pioneer in the field of optical technology is an everyday occurrence for us, and immediate adoption of new technology is to be expected by our customers hence the reason we didn't Publicise using this technology", Datawrite's spokesman stated.
