We repeated some CD wrirtng tests, this time with Taiyo Yuden media, burned at different speeds, 8X, 16X, 32X and 48X. We measured their writng quality using once again, Clover System's CDX Compact Disc Analyzer.

  • Taiyo Yuden 48X @ 8X

  • Taiyo Yuden 48X @ 16X

  • Taiyo Yuden 48X @ 32X

  • Taiyo Yuden 48X @ 48X

When we tried to measure the Jitter levels for these discs, we managed to measure only those burned at 8X and 16X. The rest, at 32X and 48X, could not be measured.

As it turns out, 8X and 16X produce better writing quality.
