BHA Japan announced the upcoming version 7 of the B’s Recorder GOLD CD/DVD authoring software. Availability is expected by July 18th, at a price of 72 Euros for the full version and 50 Euros for the upgrade version. The B’s Recorder GOLD 7 includes many new features, under the codename “FOLIO”. Thus, with the “movieFOLIO” feature user is able to edit still pictures and videos, add various video effects, convert files from his DV camera or HD to DVD Video or Video CD format and generally everything included to the so-called “authoring”.

The “pictureFOLIO” feature allows editing of still images by applying image effects, slide show creation in DVD-Video and the HighMAT formats, and creation of auto run content CD enabled to play on browsers.

B’s Recorder GOLD 7 supports creation of WAV/MP3/mp3PRO/WMA/Ogg Vorbis/Monkey's Audio files, through the “sound FOLIO” feature. Playback of the created files is also supported through the built-in player.

In addition, the software supports the “Security CD” feature, which enables users to password protect the contents of a created CD. The feature is also known from the PlexTools Professional software.
