Apple AirPods Pro Coming Soon, Report Claims

Apple AirPods Pro Coming Soon, Report Claims

Gadgets Oct 18,2019 0

The third generation of Apple 's Airpods are about to go on sale soon, according to a report from Taiwan.

According to a report at the Economic Daily News, the largest economic newspaper in Taiwan, the new version of Apple's wireless buds will be called Airpods Pro and will be announced by the end of October.

The report claims that the AirPods Pro will have a noise-canceling function, and will support various listening modes. If this is the case, the AirPods Pro won’t be the first true wireless buds with noise-canceling. Sony’s WF-1000XM3 in-ears have also electronic noise-canceling and Huawei is only weeks away from releasing its FreeBuds 3.

AirPods cost $159 with the regular charging case or $199 with the wireless charging case. It’s thought the AirPods Pro version might cost around $250.

The first-generation version went on sale in December 2016 and were only updated earlier this year, with the second-gen model released on March 20, 2019. The AirPods second-generation featured a more powerful processor so the virtual personal assistant Siri could be invoked without touching the earbud. The new model also came with an optional wirelessly chargeable case and improved battery life for phone calls.
