Chinese consumer electronics giant Lenovo plans to combine the Motorola and Lenovo brand names under one name: Lenovo. This means that Motorola, once an iconic American tech brand spearheading the mobile phone market, will soon be no more. Lenovo will phase out Motorola and will focus on Moto.

Kenovo bought Motorola from Google in 2014. Motorola will still remain a division within Lenovo.
