DAT Optic announced the availability of the New Speedzter2.5 –Pocket External HD Drive with Dual interfaces FireWire/IEEE 1394 and USB. Imagine a drive with the size of your palm, fits perfectly in your pocket, capable of storing up to 48GB and transfer data as a blazing speed 30MB/sec. Truly hot plug-able, hot swap-able into Windows98SE, ME, 2K, XP, MAC OS 8.6 or later, and Linux kernel 2.4.2 computers and it power directly from the FireWire Connection. Speedzter2.5 comes with a set of connections: FireWire, iLink, and UBS. Our Speedzter2.5 internal circuitry provides a fully IEEE 1394 compliant link layer, while integrating the 1394 physical interface (PHY) and The USB bridge provide an EHCI based USB 1.1 compliant solution, both would connect with ATA interface, with these Speedster2.5 can be connect to most the current computer today.

Equipped with the high performance 5400 rpm and ATA-100 interface internal 2.5 in Hard Drive Our Speedzter2.5 oofer up to 48GB of storage space, which can accomodate a more than 2 hr of captureing DVD quality video stream at 6MB/sec. or a library of more than (9000) nine thousand songs in MP3 format. Although it fit in a palm but our Speedzter2.5 can transfer date at rate of unprecedented 30MB/sec. Video rendering/capturing–to-go makes possible with our Speedzter2.5
