Samsung Unveils New Cloud Computing Solutions

PC components Sep 19,2012 0

Samsung has introduced its next-generation cloud computing solution products, highlighted by the B Series Cloud Base Station, the C Series Cloud Monitor, and the new X Series Cloud Box. The latest cloud computing devices from Samsung allow users to store and access data on one centralized server or network. The new cloud solutions can connect to a user's central server, thereby providing users direct access to the operating system (OS) and the applications they need.

Samsung offers both zero client and thin client cloud solution products. The zero client B Series Cloud Base Station and the C Series Cloud Monitor act as cloud devices connected to a centralized server, providing an alternative to a traditional PC infrastructure. Samsung?s X Series Cloud Box is the first standalone cloud desktop replacement solution from Samsung, offering flexible user access and the ability to reuse existing customer monitors investments.

Samsung's Cloud Monitor and Cloud Base Station provide security and are equipped with the new Teradici 2nd generation chipset. These devices offer faster boot and response times, improved picture quality, and simplified system management.

A brand new cloud computing solution, Samsung?s B Series Cloud Base Station (NB-NH) provides users with the convenience of working with their existing monitors. Using the Cloud Base Station, users can convert their existing monitors into a cloud-based, all-in-one display in a matter of minutes

As a complete all-in-one Cloud Monitor, Samsung's C Series monitor includes DVI output, D-sub input, four USB 2.0?4 ports, and built-in speakers. The C Series monitors are available in two sizes, 19 inches (NC191) and 23.6 inches (NC241). The use the latest LED screen technology, which consume 40 percent less energy compared to CCFL LCD monitors.

The simplest cloud computing solution, Samsung's X Series Cloud Box (TX-WN) can connect to any standard monitor, allowing users to access and store data in the cloud. The Cloud Box also features Samsung?s MagicRMS Pro software, which allows software management or OS updates from a single remote location through the central server.

The Samsung B Series Cloud Base Station (NB-NH) will be available on October. The Samsung C Series Cloud Monitors (NC191 and NC241) will be available on December. The Samsung X Series Cloud Box (TX-WN) will be available on November.
