Toshiba PX04SL SAS eSSD Series Now Available
Toshiba has made available a new, read-intensive, enterprise SAS solid state drive (SSD) - the PX04SL series. The PX04SL series is optimized for read-intensive application workloads such as data warehousing, web servers, media streaming, and video on demand (VOD).
Available in 2TB and 4TB capacities, the PX04SL enables organizations to minimize total cost of ownership (TCO) without sacrificing performance.
The PX04SL offers sustained 4KiB random read performance of 270K IOPS and a sustained 4KiB random write speed of 19K IOPS. It uses MLC memory and a SAS 3.0 12.0 Gbit/s interface.
Optimized for applications demanding 0.5 or less Drive Writes Per Day (DWPD), the family is equipped with a feature that allows Toshiba's customers to optimize theor SSDs for maximum performance or power efficiency. Additional features include power-loss protection and full data path protection. Self-encrypting drive options with instant secure erase are also available.
