Toshiba continues to reconstruct its business by licensing its TV brand to Taiwan’s Compal Electronics, Inc. The two companies have already reached an agreement for the European market. To the extent permitted by applicable law in the concerned countries, the implementation of the licensing process is scheduled to begin from July this year, after signing of the contract by the companies.

Compal is already Toshiba's partner for the company's TV business in North America.

Toshiba is also continuing negotiations with third parties on TV brand licensing in the ASEAN countries.
