Toshiba Announces LCD/DVD Combination TVs

Toshiba Announces LCD/DVD Combination TVs

Consumer Electronics May 20,2005 0

Toshiba provides the convenience of built-in DVD, with beautiful flat panel TV displays, in a broad range of sizes ranging from 14" to 37". Toshiba TV picture quality and Toshiba DVD performance are the main strengths of the new line.. By utilizing side slot loading DVD players, Toshiba is giving consumers another key feature without compromising the cosmetic appearance in the home.

Leading off the broad LCDVD line-up are two new 720p HD models. The 27HLV95 (27") is an integrated LCDVD that incorporates an ATSC/QAM digital tuner with CableCARD(TM) Slot and TV Guide On Screen(TM) interactive program guide. The 23HLV85 (23") is an HD monitor LCDVD with a new space saving design. In addition to DVD-Video, CD and Video CD playback, the sets are also DVD-R/CD-R/CD-RW compatible. Both models also feature a PC input.

In the Cinema Series line-up, Toshiba announced the new 32HLX95 (32") and 37HLX95 (37") Integrated HD LCDVDs. These TVs feature 720p True HD panel resolution, an ATSC/QAM digital tuner with CableCARD Slot, and TV Guide On Screen interactive program guide. In addition these sets will feature Toshiba's new ChannelBrowser(TM), and the new SoundStrip(TM) speaker system. This new system helps create a more modern and compact design by eliminating the extra space of traditional side or bottom speakers. The Cinema Series LCDVDs also have a PC input and an HDMI(TM) digital input.

Also new to the LCDVD line are the 17HLV85 (17") and 20HLV85 (20") models. These widescreen sets offer 720p resolution and come equipped with an HDMI input. Rounding out the line-up is the 14DLV75 (14"). Its small size fits easily into typically tight spaces, and features a 4:3 480P display, ColorStream Component Video inputs and a 3-line Digital Comb Filter.
