The built-in high-speed 10GBASE-T RJ45 port offers improved network performance and efficiency over 1GbE networking, a cost-saving upgrade to 10GbE networking which won't require a 10GbE NIC card upgrade.

The improved TerraMaster F8-422 NAS now has sleek aluminum housing offers both superb protection and cooling for the drives installed inside. Furthermore, the F8-422 comes equipped with two smart cooling fans that deliver efficient airflow to keep the drives cool at all times during operation.

Fast, stable hardware configuration

Based around a powerful Intel® Celeron® quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, the F8-422 features an ultra-fast 10 Gb Ethernet port that works with existing Cat6/6A network cables, and two 1,000 Mbps Ethernet ports that support network aggregation. AES NI hardware encryption and 4K transcoding are supported onboard. Maximum Internal Raw Capacity: 144TB (18TB drive x 8).Raid support includes RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6, RAID 10, JBOD, and SINGLE, to give users many options for enhanced speed and data security. With eight Seagate IronWolf 6TB hard drives in RAID 5 mode, the device can reach read and write speeds of 610MB.

Easy management, easy backup

Storage, security and user account management are easy with the TOS 4.2 system. The latest TOS 4.2 version has a fresh new graphical interface, improved support and monitoring, and new features including Web Server support, Wake-on-LAN (WOL), IPv4 and IPv6 support, and improved SSL security. You can easily back up data from Macs, PCs, and USB external devices and servers to TNAS for centralized management. The backup application supports data deduplication and incremental backup, greatly reducing storage needs. The F8-422 also supports Time Machine backup, USB external backup and Rsync remote backup.

Fully cross platform, advanced file systems and services

Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS cross-platform access are all supported, as are SMB/CIFS, NFS, AFP, FTP/SFTP, WebDAV file services; and SMB, NFS, and iSCSI remote mounts.
