TDK is shipping the DA-9000 CDRW Jukebox – a CD/MP3 digiatl recorder with built-in 20GB hard drive

Optical Storage May 2,2003 0

TDK is now shipping its DA-9000 CDRW JUKEBOX, a new component that gives customers new and exciting ways to record, organize and enjoy their favorite music. Beneath the DA-9000’s sleek exterior resides a 20GB internal hard drive that can store over 4,000 MP3 tracks (or nearly 300 audio CD), providing ready access to a vast music library. Using its USB connection, music can be transferred into the DA-9000 from any PC. Tracks can be ripped directly from CD to the DA-9000’s hard drive, and music can be recorded on the fly through the DA-9000’s audio inputs. Additionally, the unit can play and record audio CD, MP3, CD-R and CD-RW discs. The DA-9000’s 20GB hard drive delivers rapid access to a massive amount of music. Tracks can be played directly from the hard drive, or at the touch of a button can be burned onto a recordable CD. Using the plug-and-play USB connection and the included TDK PC Transfer Software, transferring tracks onto the DA-9000’s hard drive is a snap. To keep things simple, the DA-9000 accesses song information from its internal Gracenote® CD Database.

The DA-9000 offers the ultimate in recording flexibility, quality and ease of operation. Utilizing its built-in MP3 encoder, the DA-9000 can rip tracks from a pre-recorded audio CD, transferring them to the internal hard drive as MP3 files. Once they’re stored on the hard drive, tracks can be burned to a recordable CD as standard CD audio or MP3 files. The DA-9000 uses music CD-R and CD-RW discs for recording, and includes a full complement of digital and analog inputs and outputs, to accommodate virtually any audio source and connect to any home entertainment system.

The TDK DA-9000 makes music recording fast and easy, thanks to its intuitive recording and playback controls, automatic track indexing when recording, a convenient option that records favorite playlists direct to CD, and many additional performance and convenience features. For outstanding audio performance, the DA-9000 incorporates a wealth of advanced digital technologies, such as premium-quality D/A and A/D converters, precision drive mechanisms for foolproof operation, and internal components specially selected for best sound quality. Best of all, with a suggested retail price of only $399, the DA-9000 offers unprecedented value in a standalone home digital recording component. The DA-9000 comes with everything needed to take full advantage of its vast capabilities: a remote control and batteries, USB and audio cables, Quick Start and User’s Guides.

The TDK DA-9000 CDRW JUKEBOX is available now.
