Today Seagate announced the Game Drive for PS4, a 2TB external hard drive upgrade built and tested for PlayStation 4 gaming.

Seagate Game Drive for PS4 takes advantage of the recent PS4 software update that added external storage support for the first time. The drive offers space to store 50+ games, quick set up and portability.

The Game Drive is powered by its USB 3.0 connection and it is compatible with any generation of PS4 (System Software version 4.50 or higher).

Gamers can play on a friend's PS4 console by signing in to their PlayStation Network account, and then continue progress on their console when they return home.

The Seagate Game Drive for PS4 will be available this month for an MSRP of $89.99.
