Sonos Offers a 30 Percent Discount for Recycling Old Speakers

Sonos Offers a 30 Percent Discount for Recycling Old Speakers

Consumer Electronics Oct 30,2019 0

You can now upgrade your old Sonos speaker with a new one, though the Sonos ‘trade up‘ program.

The program offers existing Sonos users a 30 percent discount to buy a new speaker if they recycle an eligible older model.

First, you have to sign in to your Sonos account. Go to the Trade Up tab and select eligible devices to put in Recycle Mode in exchange for credit. Confirm in the app and instantly receive credit for 30% off any new Sonos product for each device you choose to upgrade. Your device will enter Recycle Mode after 21 days. Recycle Mode is a state your device enters 21 days after recycling confirmation in the Sonos app. In Recycle Mode, all data is erased and the device is permanently deactivated so you can safely and securely dispose of it.

While you can ship the devices back to Sonos with a pre-paid shipping label, the company suggests you instead take the device to a certified local recycler or a participating retailer.

The models currently eligible for trade in are the Connect, Connect:Amp, ZP80, ZP90, ZP100, ZP120 and the first generation Play:5. You don’t simply get a discount for the newest version of a particular product; you can trade in an old Connect and still get a 30 percent discount on the new Play:5, for instance.

Moreover, you get a 30 percent discount for every product you replace, and you can use your discount at Sonos‘ website, at a participating retailer, or through an authorized Sonos installer.
