Samsung Unifies Windows PCs Under The ATIV Brand

Samsung Unifies Windows PCs Under The ATIV Brand

PC components Apr 25,2013 0

Samsung is expanding the ATIV brand - previously the brand for the company's Smart PC Windows-based hybrid devices - to include its Windows-based PCs. Along with the expanded brand, Samsung is introducing SideSync technology to all Windows-based PCs, the first of many new ATIV features available this year, which enables users to switch from working on their PC to an Android-based Samsung smartphone with simplicity and ease. Users can use their PC keyboard to respond to a text on a mobile phone; view larger maps, photos and multimedia displayed on both devices to make editing files easier; or use their PC to back up and charge their mobile device.

Current products that will be renamed beginning April 29th include Samsung Notebooks (Series 9, Series 7 Chronos, Series 5 Chronos, Series 7 Ultra, Series 5 Ultra, Series 5 510, Series 3, 370, Series 3 300); Samsung ATIV Smart PC and Smart PC Pro; and Samsung All in One PC (Series 5, 7 and 3).

In addition to renaming its existing products, Samsung today introduced two ATIV Book models, ATIV Book 5 and ATIV Book 6.

The Samsung ATIV Book 5 represents the next generation of Samsung Ultrabooks. With 24GB of ExpressCache, users enjoy rapid boot up and load times. The ultrabook features a 14-inch touchscreen display and weighs just 4.19 pounds.

The Samsung ATIV Book 6 is a touch-enabled laptop packed with a top-of-the-line Intel Core i7 processor. It comes with a 15.6-inch full HD touchscreen along with amsung’s exclusive RAMAccelerator technology, which makes ATIV Book 6’s 8GB of RAM2 work up to 1.5 times harder than traditional memory.

Both the Samsung ATIV Book 5 and ATIV Book 6 come equipped with preinstalled SideSync technology and are currently available for preorder starting at $899.99 and $1199.99, respectively.
