Samsung Electronics plans to release the Galaxy C budget smartphone in China next month, with more markets to follow.
The new smartphone will has a 5.5-inch display and its price price will be in the $170 range. Other specs are rumored to be an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, coupled with an Adreno 405 graphics processing.
Samsung has been making efforts to bolster is mid-to-low-end lineup to meet the rising demand for cheaper handsets.
The tech giant previously released similar budget series -- Galaxy A, Galaxy E and Galaxy J.
