It is common to see "accidental" leaks of upcoming products in the last few years and this time a tester is said to have forgotten the upcoming Pixel 3 XL smartphone in the back of a Lyft.

The pre-production unit was then found by the Lyft driver in the back seat of his car after he dropped off a few passengers. So he is said to sent some photos of teh new device to the Android Police website.

The Pixel 3 XL has been leaked more than any other major smartphone in recent memory, thanks to pre-production units being unboxed and tested in the wild.

The driver is also said to have returned the phone to the original owner.

It's expected that Google will unveil the Pixel 3 XL along with the no-notch Pixel 3 on October 9th at an event in New York City.
