NHK to Broadcast Tokyo Olympic Games Events in 8K
Japan's public broadcaster (NHK) plans to offer 8K broadcasts with 22.2 channel audio of this summer's Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic games.
NHK is 5 days, announced the event to relay in BS8K from the competition of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic carried out from July 24.
NHK's 8K boradcasts will inlcude the Olympics Opening Ceremony, the Closing Ceremony, track and field competition like the 100m and 200m men's finals, women's 200m finals and the men's 400m relay final. The women's soccer and volleyball finals will also be broadcast in 8K, along with selected events from badminton, judo, table tennis and swimming. In late August, the ceremonies for the Paralympics will also air in 8K, along with events like wheelchair rugby, swimming and track and field.
The closing and opening ceremonies will be also covered by helicopter equipped with 8K cameras.
