NEC Corporation and Samsung Electronics today announced a partnership of joint effort to strengthen their business portfolio including 5G.

The partnership provides mobile carriers with flexible 5G solutions that are localized for each region with customized services to meet mobile carriers' demands.

Samsung has commercialized 5G services across the US and also has been selected by one of the major Korean operators as its 5G vendor. Combined with NEC's expertise in the IT solution businesses, where it leverages its telecommunication technology, including 5G, both companies will explore new business opportunities in the global market.
