MSI Launches Overclockable Barebone PC For Gamers

PC components Mar 6,2014 0

MSI today launched the MSI Nightblade gaming barebone PC - a 16 liter-sized gaming mini-ITX barebone designed to fit a full size GPU and quick overclocking.

MSI Nightblade is housing the MSI GAMING motherboard series, a 600W PSU, a Dragon casefan and is equipped with MSI's OC Genie functionality. Despite its mini-ITX form factor, it can host an ATX-size graphics card and supports the usage of two SSDs, an HDD and even an optical drive bay. A handle on the frontside helps gamers to easily carry the Nightblade from one LAN-event to the next.

The fan speed is dynamically adjusted depending on the actvities done by the user. In the most extreme circumstances, the Dragon case fan can even run at a maximum of 3600RPM.

The small sized Nightblade provides enough space for a full-size two slot-in graphics card via a PCI-E 3.0x16 slot. Graphics cards up to a lenght of 290mm and a thickness of 35mm can fit in.

The MSI Nightblade can be overclocked without using software or having to open the entire gaming rig. With just a push of the OC Genie button on the front, the Nightblade’s interior hardware is automatically overclocked in a matter of seconds.

The MSI Nightblade will be available worldwide from the 2nd week of March 2014 and will be on its first live display at CeBIT 2014 in Hannover, Germany. Initial pricing starts at 399-499 EUR (depending on the SKU), or for many regions the MSRP is US$599 and will be bundled with a SteelSeries Siberia V2 Dragon Headset.
