Mid-range Redmi Note 9S Released With an In-display Camera

Mid-range Redmi Note 9S Released With an In-display Camera

Smartphones Mar 23,2020 0

Xiaomi today announced Redmi Note 9S – a new mid-range smartphone featuring a powerful processor, a symmetrical design, a quad camera setup, and a long-lasting battery.

The Redmi Note 9S is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, which consists of an octa-core CPU with a 2.3GHz maximum clock speed, Adreno 618 GPU and 8nm process technology.

As the first smartphone in the Redmi Note lineup to feature a Z-axis linear vibration motor, it enables faster acceleration which results in better haptic feedback compared to traditional motors.

Its 5020mAh high-capacity battery keeps users fully powered throughout the day, even during heavy usage. When it’s time to recharge, the device offers 18W fast charging and comes with a 22.5W in-box charger.

Touting a notch-free design, Redmi Note 9S sports a square-shaped camera layout and side-mounted fingerprint sensor that doubles as a power button for unlocking. Featuring a 6.67” FHD+ DotDisplay with Redmi Note’s first in-display front camera, the device’s symmetrical design boasts a 91% screen-to-body ratio. The display also offers TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification to ensure long-lasting eye comfort. The device is available in three captivating colors to appease any consumer, including Interstellar Grey, Aurora Blue and Glacier White.

Redmi Note 9S also features a splash-proof nano coating and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back.

The smartphone features a quad camera setup on the back with a 48MP main lens and a large 1/2” sensor for ultra-high-resolution day photos. Its 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens lets users capture large group images with ease, while its 5MP macro lens and 2MP depth sensor round out the setup to capture images. On the front, Redmi Note 9S sports a 16MP lens for its in-display selfie camera, minimizing front screen bezels without compromising camera quality.

Redmi Note 9S will be available first in Southeast Asian markets including Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand.

Mi Smart Compact Projector

Redmi also anounced the new Mi Smart Compact Projector, which supports a 1080P FHD video quality, and comes with two built-in speakers and Dolby and DTS decoding. Featuring a throw ratio of 1.2:1, Mi Smart Compact Projector provides an adjustable projecting screen size from 60 to 120 inches. Powered by Android TV 9.0, users can download apps and content through Google Play, as well as enjoy functionality such as Google Assistant and Chromecast.
