Samsung and LG will showcase their latest mobile devices and TV technologies at this year's IFA - Europe's biggest technology exhibition that will kick off next week in Berlin. Samsung will unveil its first smartwatch using non-flexible display (Galaxy Gear). It will also unveil its updated Galaxy Note III phablet along with its expanded TV lineup.

LG will promote its latest G2 smartphone and a new tablet named "G Pad 8.3" during the exhibition. The company is making a new step into the tablet market, since 2011, when LG had released its Optimus Pad with no commercial suceess.

The company will also showcase its CURVED OLED TV (55EA9800), which will be initially available in Germany for EUR 8,999. The OLED TV will also roll out in other European markets in the fourth quarter.

Featuring an elegantly curved screen and LG's own WRGB OLED technology, the CURVED OLED TV promises to provide exceptional picture quality and "an immersive viewing experience." The unit has been awarded the Red Dot: Best of the Best honor and has also been certified by respected international product testing bodies, TUV Rheinland, Intertek and VDE for its picture quality. LG's TV is also the first OLED TV in the world to have received THX certification.

Samsung will also display premium TVs including those that support ultra high-definition (UHD), OLED technology and other Web-enabled sets.
