The basic specs of Sony's new super combo DVD recorder have become known, at least to AVLand website. According to the information posted there, the new Sony drive (DRU-500A) would support both DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/+RW at the highest available recording speeds... Specs:

- Internal IDE drive
- Expected ship date, Fall 2002
