CyberLink is showcasing its next generation multimedia technologies for creating, editing and enjoying music, videos and photographs at Computex 2012 at the Grand Hyatt Taipei, Suite 1148, June 5-9, 2012. Among the new developments include multimedia apps for the upcoming Windows 8 Metro portable devices and a series of new solutions for media content creativity:

New Metro Apps for Windows 8

CyberLink demonstrates three new multimedia apps designed for the Metro-style interface in Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system - PowerDVD Metro, PowerDirector Metro, and YouCam Metro. These new apps for Metro touch-friendly interface enable users on-the-spot to playback media gallery, edit videos or take photos with effects using their portable devices.

PowerDVD Metro is a universal multimedia player app that offers a complete media gallery support for videos, photos and music, together with features like Dolby and DTS audio. The app provides broad video and photo format support including MKV, MPEG, MP4 and M2TS.

YouCam Metro app allows users to capture videos and photos instantly, apply a wide range of fun effects, and tag photos with CyberLink?s FaceMe face recognition technology. YouCam Metro is now available in Microsoft?s Windows 8 Beta Store.

PowerDirector Metro is a video-editing app, offering quick video editing and slideshow creation for mobile devices. In addition, a selection of Magic Style pro-designed templates allows users to create polished movies automatically.

CyberLink's Multimedia Apps will be on shelf in Microsoft's Windows 8 Beta Store upon the launch of Windows 8.

Media Content Creativity

CyberLink also showcases a complete product lineup for home and semi-pro users - PowerDirector 10 Video Editor, PhotoDirector 3 and MediaShow 6.

The new software packages include TrueTheater and TrueVelocity technolgoies and are optimized for the latest Intel 3rd Generation Core processor and AMD Second Generation A-Series APUs.

CyberLink's PowerDVD 12 Ultra with its companion apps, PowerDVD Mobile and PowerDVD Remote, is a universal multimedia player to provide an all-in-one solution for the Windows, iOS and Android platforms. Now, users can stream, store and share their multimedia content across any device in their home, including iPhone, iPad and Android tablets and smartphones.
