CyberDrive introduces high speed internal and external CD-R/RW drives

CyberDrive introduces high speed internal and external CD-R/RW drives

General Interest Oct 30,2002 0

The American market now has access to two, new award-winning CyberDrive CD-R/RW drives. CyberDrive designs and manufactures quick and reliable media-storage products at valuable prices. The external and internal drives are shipped with Nero Software, ExacLink buffer under-run protection and feature read speeds up to 48X, write speeds up to 48X and re-write speeds up to 16X. The external and internal 48X CD-R/RW drives are now available at ASI, Ingram Micro, Lasertech, MIC, PMI, and Rainbow Computer. MSRP is $79.99 to $169.99. "CyberDrive's goal is to offer American end-users the ability to store audio and video quickly and efficiently," said CyberDrive. "Our CD-R/RW drives offer speed and reliability at much better prices than comparable products."

ExacLink buffer under-run protection is employed to allow trouble free creation of CD audio and other disc types under the most difficult conditions. The ExacLink feature allows the high speed, high quality writing of discs on the first try, regardless of a computer's performance or drive buffer size. Buffer under-runs are no longer a problem with ExacLink since the drive automatically responds to the condition and continues writing as soon as more data is available without causing a buffer under-run error.

CyberDrive's external 48X drive works with any PC or Notebook with a USB 2.0 interface. The internal 48X drive can be installed into any PC with an IDE/ATAPI interface and a free 5.25-inch, half-height bay.
