Club 3D Launches 4K Docking Station

PC components Sep 17,2014 0

Club 3D has officially released a USB 3.0 to 4K Docking Station, making it the third SenseVision world premiere after the company's MST Hub and USB 3.0 to 4K graphics adapter. Club 3D is best known for its AMD-based graphics cards for gamers, but the company has also been expanding its SenseVision label which is targeting semi-professionals. SenseVision offers a selection of USB Graphics Adapters, MST Hubs and Docking Stations that allow users to expand their setup and allow for additional monitors, peripherals, storage devices to be connected.

This new USB 3.0 Docking Station (CSV-3103D) allows you to connect a 4K Ultra HD monitor via DisplayPort or HDMI and experience the full 3840x 2160p resolution. The device uses the latest DisplayLink DL-5000 series USB to 4K SoC, the most capable DisplayLink USB Graphics SoC to date.

The Docking Station offers 3x USB 3.0 Downstream ports with one USB port supporting BC 1.2 charging. BC 1.2 is the latest Battery Charging Standard, allowing faster charging (up to 1.5A) when both the Device and Docking Station are BC Standard compliant. It also features a 2.1 channel 3.5mm Audio jack, Gigabit Ethernet and of course DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI outputs.

This device is a convenient solution for expanding the number of monitors as well as connecting storage devices and peripherals, microphones and headphones, charging and transferring data from or to your mobile phone or tablet device and last but not least directly connect to an (ADSL) modem. All you need is one free USB 3.0 port and a free wall socket to give the number of outputs.

Aside from USB 3.0, the SenseVision USB 3.0 to 4K docking station is compliant with USB 2.0/ 1.1 specification.

The Club 3D CSV-3103D 4K USB 3.0 Docking Station will be available worldwide by the end of October 2014 at an RRP of $ 169 excluding local sales tax.
