ASUS combo CRW-5232A-T with SATA interface

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS) announced the CRW-5232A-T internal drive with SATA (Serial ATA) disc storage system for greater scalability, simpler installation, thinner cables and faster process. The CRW-5232A-T is capable of delivering 52X write and 32X rewrite. In addition, the CRW-5232A-T incorporates innovative technologies exclusivelsing speed (up to 1.5 Gb/s) while remaining backward compatible with Parallel ATA drivery from ASUS, including FlextraLink , FlextraSpeed , DDSS II and CAV (constant angular velocity) writing strategy. The ASUS CRW-5232A-T utilizes CAV/Z-CLV writing strategy to significantly shorten recording time and achieve higher average recording speed, compared to other high-speed CD-RW drives on the market.

ASUS CRW-5232-T adopts the new SATA interface, which is the next generation internal storage interconnect designed to replace parallel ATA technology. SATA is the proactive evolution of the ATA interface from a parallel bus to serial bus architecture. This architecture overcomes the electrical constraints that induce difficulties in continued speed enhancements for the traditional parallel ATA bus.
