AMD Releases New "Trinity" APUs For Desktops

AMD has updeted its "Trinity" series of APUs for desktops, adding four quad-core chips. The new A-series APUs feature 4MB L2 cache, support 1866 MHz DDR3 memory, they are compatible with AMD's socket FM2 and habe been manufactured with the 32nm SOI.

The "A8-5500" model is clocked at 3.2GHz (base) / 3.7GHz (Turbo) and uses an HD7560D GPU with 256 cores on die, clocked at 760MHz. The chips TDP is 65W.

The "A8-5600K" version has a 3.6GHz CPU base clock, boosted at 3.9GHz under Turbo mode. It's TDP is set to 100W and it also packs Radeon HD 7560D GPU.

The "A10-5700" model can reach up to 4.0 GHz under Turbo and features 384 Radeon 7660D cores, clocked at 760MHz. Its TDP is 65W.

The top of the line model "A10-5800K" can run at 4.2GHz and features Radeon HD 7660D GPUs clocked at 800MHz. It's TDP is 100W.
