Amazon has signed an agreement to acquire eero, a company that offers products and services for home WiFi.
eero’s home mesh WiFi systems set up in minutes and use multiple access points that work together as a system to blanket a home in home WiFi. An eero system canbe customized to eliminate dead zones, ensuring perfect streaming video in every room.
With the app, the eero system can be ready to use in under 10 minutes. It offers network sharing features, parental controls, and speed tests on demand. Additionally, eero communicates with the cloud to receive instructions and updates.
Eero, was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in San-Francisco. It has raised $90 million from First Round Capital, Menlo Ventures, AME Cloud Ventures, Initialized Capital, Homebrew Ventures and others.
