Immediatek and DigiCirc allows musicians to sell music and receive investments

General Interest Jul 1,2003 0

A partnership with Immediatek and DigiCirc, allows up-and-coming independent artists to sell their CD's on-line and find investors to jump start their careers. The two companies will share product services between their roster of musicians. Immediatek's independent artist site www.twobigtoes.com has more than 1200 independent artists whose fans use NetBurn(TM), Immediatek's "one-click" download and burn software to purchase songs. Artists receive royalties for each music track burned to CD through NetBurn. They are able to easily upload their music and can also sell their CD's directly from their own official websites with NetBurn. On www.digicirc.com, artists lease, sub-lease and swap exclusive digital music rights to help finance their careers. The two sites should be fully compatible by August 1.

Both companies say they are working with artists and record labels to change and improve how business is done in the music industry. DigiCirc allows record labels to participate by letting them acquire interest in hundreds of artists without the need to actually sign them to their label.

Immediatek's flagship product, NetBurn Secure(TM), is the only "secure burn" software on the market that prevents piracy, and is targeted to major record labels and music companies. NetBurn Secure utilizes a variety of technologies including SunnComm's (STEH) MediaMax(TM) and Microsoft's DRM Toolkit.
