AGN Hardware reviewed Actima 44x CD-ROM

AGN Hardware reviewed Actima 44x CD-ROM

General Interest May 9,1999 0

"..Even from a SCSI users point of view, this IDE Actima 44x was really impressive. It was fast, and did not have any problems with the drive. We liked the fact that the drive performed as well as it did, and the price was certainly cheap enough for everyone to afford.

There were a few glitches in the program, so to speak. For starters the CPU utilization was sort of high when compared to SCSI, and full access times could have been a bit faster. We are also a bit reluctant to give a perfect rating to a new company. Perhaps as their name becomes more well known, and they make a reputation for themselves, Actima will gain a little more recognition in the CD-ROM industry. If they do, watch out Hi-Val..here comes Actima.." NULL
