Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear Give Winter Sports Fans Hands-Free Mobile Communications

Smartphones Dec 23,2013 0

Samsung will enable winter sports enthusiasts to enhance their downhill experiences by bringing the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear to top ski resorts in Cortina, Italy; St. Moritz, Switzerland; and Val d?Isere, France. Starting in mid-December and continuing through January, visitors to these top ski destinations will see Samsung Galaxy Studio Ski Resorts pop up on the slopes and in ski villages, featuring Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear demos and rentals, along with opportunities for fans to interact with winter sports athletes at the launch events.

The Galaxy Studio Ski Resorts will feature the mobile and wearable technologies and provide winter sports enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the freedom of being connected with friends while enjoying winter sports on the slope. Consumers can make calls, check text messages, capture photos and share moments of their day without taking off their gloves or dropping their poles.

Each of the Galaxy Studio Ski Resorts will include one-on-one lessons to demonstrate how the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear can be used to design a winter vacation or leisure experience using applications that allow weather monitoring in real time, listings of popular events, sharing locations, photos and videos with friends, and more.

In addition, the "Galaxy to Go" program will allow users to test-drive the two technologies through a daily rental while at the ski resort.

Snowboarding simulations to provide visitors with the experience of using hands-free features, such as S Voice and Hands-Free Call, to stay connected with friends while on the slopes.
