NME and VDL-ODMS to Unveil First Multilayer Disc Manufacturing Line
New Medium Enterprises, provider of HD VMD (Versatile Multilayer Disc) format, will host "Global HD VMD Day" today at VDL-ODMS in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
NME will unveil the world's first commercial 'Multilayer' HD VMD replication line.
Attendees will be given an exclusive tour of the new HD VMD replication line at co-hosts VDL-ODMS.
Presentations will also be given by NME's optical disc industry partners including Netstal, AWM, Plasmon, Datarius, Scanavo and Planet Optical Disc.
The technological breakthrough for the Multilayer disc was made possible through NME's own patented '2p' process method, NME said in a statement.
