Catering to users who require a powerful motherboard with high speeds and support for expansive slot interfaces, ASUS has today released the P5E WS Professional and P5E3 WS Professional workstation motherboards.
The motherboards support duo PCIe 2.0 x 16 for double the bus bandwidth from 2.5 Gb/s to 5.0 Gb/s. These slots are also compatible with previous PCIe 1.1 standards for backward compatibility. The P5E workstation series also showcases PCI-X slots for more convenience on slot expansion, and is able to bring about full speeds for Gigabit Ethernet, SCSI RAID and other PCI-X devices.
ASUS? Super Memspeed technology provides users with the ability to achieve overclocking and help them set the most accurate FSB/DRAM frequency proportions? boosting memory speeds up to 72% on DDR3 memory (P5E3 WS Pro only).
Both P5E WS Professional and P5E3 WS Professional workstation motherboards also come with Q-Connector, an adapter that eliminates the trouble of plugging in one cable at a time ? making connections quick. Secondly, ASUS? Q-Shield does without the usual "fingers" of traditional gaskets ? making it convenient, easy and safe to install without the scratches and cuts like before. It also has better electric conductivity to protect the motherboard against static electricity and shield users against harmful Electronic Magnetic Interference (EMI).
The 8-phase Power Design of the P5E WS Professional and P5E3 WS Professional workstation motherboards are made with all solid capacitors for increased durability and enhanced thermal capacity. This protects the CPU and power module from high power stress risks and provides stable voltage. It also provides highly efficient operations with less heat ? at least 15°C lower than other conventional 4-phase power designs.
The P5E workstation series provides several integrated features like AI Slot Detector - which allows users to identify the correct way to set up the PC with on-board LEDs; AI Gear 2, to allow users to choose profiles to adjust CPU frequency and vCore voltages for minimized system noise and power consumption; AI Nap, which keeps the system operating at minimum power and noise.
