Master & Dynamic has introduced its first Active Noise-Cancelling (ANC) premium sound tool: the MW65 Active Noise-Cancelling Wireless Over-Ear Headphones.
Launching in Brown Leather with Silver Metal and Black Leather with Gunmetal colors, the MW65 is now available for purchase on the company's website for $500.
In what the company describes as their "most technically sophisticated headphones yet," the MW65 Active Noise-Cancelling Wireless Over-Ear Headphones are featuring two active noise-cancelling modes, a high and a low setting to tailor to your specific surroundings. Alternatively, you can choose to switch-off Active Noise-Cancelling for passive noise isolation.
Utilizing feed-forward and feed-back active noise-cancelling technology, referred to as “Hybrid” ANC, the two beamforming noise-reduction mic arrays analyze and cancel the combination of unwanted outside environmental noise and user-heard ambient noise to provide undistorted sound quality.
Merging these key ANC components with custom 40mm Beryllium drivers preserves Master & Dynamic’s signature sound. The headphones are also Voice Assistant enabled and feature Google Assistant built-in.
Heavy grain leathers and supple lambskin-wrapped memory foam ear pads provide a luxurious tactile experience, while anodized aluminum keeps the headphones ultra-light at 250g and creates a durable scratch-resistant surface. Equipped with Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, the MW65 headphones ensure seamless device pairing up to a range of 65ft / 20m. The headphones are also boasting up to 24 hours of listening time when fully charged, and quick-charging capabilities of 50% or 12 hours in 15 minutes.
Each pair of MW65’s are delivered with a Canvas Pouch, Flight Adaptor, USB-C Charging Cable and 3.5mm audio cable.
At $499, the MW65 is a lot pricier than the popular noise-cancelling options from Sony and Bose. Both the Sony WH-1000XM3 and the Bose QuietComfort 35 II are $350, and you can often find them on sale even cheaper.
