Bayer Raises Prices for Polycarbonate

Bayer Raises Prices for Polycarbonate

Optical Storage Jun 21,2007 0

Bayer MaterialScience raised the sales prices for its polycarbonates worldwide. This affects all deliveries in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa), where the price will be increased by EUR 0.20 per kilogram. For the APAC (AsiaPacific) and NAFTA (North America) regions the price increase will be USD 0.30 per kilogram, or USD 0.14 per pound.

"The Polycarbonates Business Unit has taken this step against a background of constantly rising manufacturing costs, which are caused primarily by the costs of the necessary raw materials," the company explained.
