A narrative take on popular game "Minecraft" is headed to Xbox and PlayStation consoles, PC, Mac, iOS and Android in a few short weeks. "Minecraft: Story Mode" is coming October 13 in the form of "Episode 1: The Order of the Stone." It's to be the first of five point-and-click adventuring slices from specialist studio Telltale Games.

iOS and Android launches two days later. Wii U and PlayStation Vita versions are undated but in the works.

Other console releases slated for the same month include "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection," "Assassin's Creed Syndicate," "The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes," "Tales of Zestiria" and "Halo 5: Guardians."

Side-on action game "Cobalt," published by Mojang, is also expected sometime in October.
