DiscDupe 2000 is CD duplication software. It creates duplicate copies from a source disc that you provide. DiscDupe 2000 works only with Plextor products. You can use a Plextor CD-ROM or a PlexWriter as the source, and use a PlexWriter as the destination drive. You can even use a single PlexWriter as both source and writer.

- Features

Disc to disc duplication:
You can copy a disc in one Plextor drive to a blank CD-R or CD-RW disc in a Plextor PlexWriter drive.

Disc to image and image to disc:
Copy an entire CD to an image on your hard drive, store the image for future use, then copy that image to a CD-R or CD-RW disc as needed.

Single-drive disc duplication:
If you have only a single Plextor CD-R or CD-RW drive, DiscDupe 2000 writes an image to a temporary file on your hard drive, allowing you to read from the hard drive and use your PlexWriter source drive for writing.

Special Feature: This application hasn't any specific feature that we could say whow!

Verdict of application

This application works only when it detects an Plextor CDR/W. I don't have a Plextor CDR/W so I couldn't even launch it.

Apart from this I must say it is a good tool for Plextor users since it includes : CD to image, image to CD, verify disc. Don't know if the application works with protected or with D/A/D/A (DATA/Audio) sequence CDs. Also i heard from Plextor users that it also enables OverBurn support since it ask for it when trying to copy an overburned disc. All CDs made with DiscDupe 2000 are duplicated in Session-At-Once mode (SAO).

Session-At-Once copies CDs without turning the PlexWriter's laser off between tracks or sessions. (That is, the laser is turned on at the beginning of the disc and does not turn off until the end of the disc is reached.) This mode is best for creating bit-for-bit identical duplicates. Session-At-Once (SAO) mode is same as Disc-At-Once, but it allows you to create accurate, bit-for-bit duplicates of multi-session CDs.
