Hitachi, HanbitSoft to set up online-game joint venture

Japanese high-tech powerhouse Hitachi Ltd and HanbitSoft Inc, a leading South Korean developer of computer games, will set up a joint venture in Tokyo in December to market multi-player online role playing games in Japan, the partners said Friday.

The new company, Hanbit Ubiquitous Entertainment Co, will be owned 71.43% by HanbitSoft and 28.57% by Hitachi and will promote HanbitSoft-made online games such as "Granado Espada."
